I was a gruelling 12 hour days sanding floors and taking wallpaper down with the baby on my back, and others playing inside the playpen. Ha! It was all falling into place, however it was not quite done. The house would need lots of time and a love to shop. In order to stay in the realm of budgets, I took to by taking my sons to estate sales looking for of diamonds. Every week, we would go through garage and estate sales on Saturdays and Thursdays buying a mixture of old and new pieces. Then I would spend working on my projects out in the driveway. My first impression was like... this is when my desire to repair furniture started. When our home was finished, I didn't want to quit! There was a spot in the market that I could sell my pieces. Eventually, I had too many pieces to store in the room available. Over 1000 people visited my house in one weekend, to shop for all the things on the ground. Growing Days was founded in my house. Growing Days wasn't just an incredibly successful business, but also my sweet family. It was a balance between the start of a company and becoming a mother. Growing Days just fit. My sweet Nora came into the world in 2013, which was our 4th child. It was a great direction for my business but I also needed an escape. I decided to take a break from making vintage furniture, and I slowed down my speed and stayed at home to raise the children. This was precisely what I needed at that moment. A majority of them came into my residence at my open house for furniture. Once I had a few months I began to take on customers according to my schedule.
