Jenna Fischer has become best recognized as Pam Beesly, the character she played on The Office. For this role, Jenna received two SAG Awards in Outstanding Ensemble Comedy and an Emmy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Jenna was raised within Fort Wayne in Indiana. Jenna grew up watching her mother Anne who was a church performer. It instilled in her a love for theatre.
Fischer is an actress with theatre training. She starred with Josh Hamilton Leslie Bibb Fred Weller in Neil LaBute's Off Broadway show Reasons for Being Happy. Her role was later reprised in the world premiere of Steve Martin's latest production Meteor Shower, an absurdist comedy with Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg, for a record-breaking run on Old Globe Theatre. The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer created Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in the month of October. The podcast has been hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week, and receiving more than 200 million downloads in its initial two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She's written two books, The Actor's Life, a Survival Guide in which she describes her experience in Hollywood as an actor in the field, and Office BFF's, Tales of The Office From Two Best Friends who Were There, an account of the most memorable friendships they enjoyed and their time in The Office.
